The Request:
My aircraft is fitted with a Garmin integrated flight deck, and I need to integrate a complex suite of tactical radios for special missions. Can you help?
The Problem:
Garmin Flight Decks audio panels are limited to three transceiver inputs and audio systems designed to interface with multiple transceivers do not integrate well with Garmin flight decks.
Rocky Mountain Solution:
RMA designed an interface between the Becker digital audio system with its suite of digital and analog radios and the Garmin flight deck. This enhanced the functionality of both systems and enabled the aircraft to function effectively in special mission roles.

The Request:
I need to mount a very large piece of downward looking survey equipment in the belly of my aircraft plus I will need access to the equipment during flight.
The Problem:
This will require large cut-outs in both the belly of the aircraft and the cabin flooring. The OEM solution of an 18” diameter cut-out was insufficient for this.
Rocky Mountain Solution:
RMA designed a “Research Compartment” based around a 27” x 36” cut-out in the belly with access through a corresponding cut-out in the cabin floor. The rear jump seats were modified to accommodate the floor cut-out. The new configuration was approved via a Transport Canada STC.

The Request:
I have a mixed fleet of -400 and -300 series Twin Otters and I only want to have to support one engine type.
The Problem:
The -300 series Twin Otter utilizes PWC 6-27 engines however the -400 utilizes PWC 6-34 engines. For single engine type in a mixed fleet the -34 engines need to be retrofitted to the -300 aircraft.
Rocky Mountain Solution:
RMA designed various modifications to upgrade the legacy -100 to -300 series Twin Otters to approve the installation of -34 engines. In addition to providing fleet standardization the -34 provides improvements in consistent torque to altitude plus the option to install four bladed props for environmental noise reduction.
